When asked about his Martial Arts experience, Mr. Weir attributes a lot of his success in life to his training. “As a child I was very quiet and shy until I began my martial arts training. As I progressed, I began to realize that I was able to do things that I had never thought possible. It was this self-confidence and the never quit attitude that I learned from my martial arts training that gave me the ability to accomplish many of my life’s goals. I now consider it a great honor to have the opportunity to pass these life changing skills of goal achievement, self confidence, determination, and self defense on to my students.” In addition to his martial arts career, Mr. Weir graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1995 with a BS in Nursing, and obtained his Masters Degree in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000. Currently he is the Chief Nurse Anesthetist and Anesthesia Department Manager at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Other accomplishments include being a graduate of the Local Government Academy in 2006 and an elected official in the Borough of Jefferson Hills from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Weir is also married and has 3 children; Maya, Jeffrey, and Ethan – all of whom practice Tang Soo Do.
