Personal Training at South Hills Karate
To compliment your traditional karate practice or as a standalone program, we offer you our MartialFit Training Center and programs. These programs include strength training and sport specific training to increase your mobility and functionality.

Master Garbowsky teaches a special Tai Chi class for all ages. Our Tai Chi class is centered around internal Tai Chi postures that help to increase your flexibility, strength and most importantly energy levels!

We also offer a traditional Yoga program for all ages. Our Yoga classes are instructed by Lori Martucci who teaches an active flowing vinyasa style of hatha yoga that allows practitioners to stay safe and feel challenged yet successful.

In addition to providing the "Absolute Best" in Martial Arts training we also provide you with full service fitness center! The MartialFit Fitness Training Center consists of approximately 1,800 square feet of top of the line Star Trac selectorized machines along with a full compliment of Olympic free weight benches, squat racks as well as a full line of dumbbells and other strength training related equipment. To compliment the strength training equipment we also have commercial grade Cardio equipment including Star Trac treadmills, full-body trainers and recumbent bikes. To top things off have a student and parent lounge complete with a coffee bar, sports drinks and supplement area, plasma display and internet cafe!

We are designed for convenience! Children can take Tang Soo Do classes while parents are able to work on their strength, cardio and fitness goals all intended to help you make healthy changes to get in shape, lose weight, build strength and create overall healthier lives all in one location!

Pulling from over 30 years of experience in the fitness and martial arts arenas, our personal training programs are tailored to fit your goals and needs. We can provide you with some of the best personal training the Pittsburgh area has to offer.

We can help you lose weight, lose body fat, improve mobility, become better conditioned and get in the best shape of your life! Whether you are just beginning to exercise, working out for years or want to add to your traditional karate practice, we can design a program to meet your needs and help you get the most out of your workout regardless of age or current level of fitness.

We teach a special method of Tai Chi exercise called Tai Chi Naebu or ‘Internal Tai Chi.’ Various forms of Tai Chi have been practiced in the orient for hundreds of years.

Focusing on postures and being a soft style (Nae Ga Ryu), this style can be practiced by all ages! Class attendees experience a greater sense of well being, increased strength and flexibility.

Our Tai Chi class allows you to practice martial arts without the need to worry about uniforms, belts or ranks. Classes can be joined at any time!

Traditional Indian Yoga

Our Yoga class is instructed by Lori Martucci. Lori teaches an active flowing Vinyasa style of Hatha yoga that will allows practitioners to stay safe and feel challenged yet successful. She teaches from a place of authenticity, passion and love.

Additionally, Lori has gained YogaFit’s 200-hour Yoga Alliance-approved Training Program, as well as working toward YogaFit’s 100 Hour Warriors Program. YogaFit® for Warriors which helps yoga teachers gain a deeper understanding of exactly how trauma gets stored in the body. This training help students to free troubling emotions, persevering thoughts patterns, chronic somatic tension and hyper vigilance in military personnel, emergency responders, and others who suffer from emotional or physical trauma.
